The Washington Fire Department Inc. provides Advanced Life Support to the residents of the City of Washington, Central, and Pleasantview Fire Protection Districts and surrounding areas.

The Washington Fire Department Inc. employs EMT-Paramedics and EMT-Intermediates to staff its ALS ambulance 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The department also utilizes paid on-call volunteer EMT-Basics, EMT-Intermediates, and EMT-Paramedics to provide staffing during periods of high call volume and request for additional ambulances.
